主讲人简介：

刘佳堃，2006年本科毕业于浙江大学，2010年在澳大利亚国立大学获得博士学位，2010-2013年在普林斯顿大学做博士后研究，现任职于澳大利亚悉尼大学。主要研究领域为非线性椭圆和抛物偏微分方程及其在几何和最优运输中的应用，尤其在Monge-Ampère方程、Hessian方程及其他变分问题的正则性方面做出突破性成果，于2024年荣膺澳大利亚数学会奖章和Gavin Brown奖。已在数学四大《Annals of Mathematics》、《Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics》、《Advances in Mathematics》、《Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis》、《Transactions of the American Mathematical Society》等国际顶级数学学术杂志发表了三十余篇重要成果。

内容提要：

 In this talk, we will give a brief introduction on the optimal transport problem and discuss its applications in geometry, cosmology, and image recognition. We will also present some recent results on the free boundary problem in optimal transport. This work is part of a series of collaborations with Gregory Loeper, Shibing Chen and Xu-Jia Wang.
